Aon announces new partners in Wealth Solutions in the UK

LONDON, 29 April 2023Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, has announced 10 new UK-based partners in Wealth Solutions within the firm’s Human Capital capability.

These promotions continue to build on the breadth of innovation, advice and expertise at Aon, helping clients to develop resilient workforces and navigate new forms of volatility.

The new partners are:

Lynette Brown

Lynette Brown is a senior leader in Aon’s GMP equalisation team, responsible for all operational aspects of the team, including delivery to Aon’s portfolio of clients and running a multi-disciplinary team across multiple geographies. Lynette leads on some of Aon’s largest and most complex clients and is also a scheme actuary with 25 years’ experience in pensions. Lynette sits on Aon’s Trustee Consulting leadership team.

Sarah Butlin

Sarah Butlin leads Aon’s governance team working with pension scheme trustee boards on their equity, diversity and inclusion journeys and effectiveness. She is responsible for the development and delivery of Aon’s governance platforms and client materials, ensuring that clients are able to access best practice solutions. Sarah is a client manager with over 35 years of pensions consulting experience.

Hannah Carter

Hannah Carter is the chief of staff for UK Investment and a member of the UK chief commercial officer’s leadership team. She is responsible for all governance and reporting aspects of the UK Investment business as well as leading change and significant projects. Hannah also leads on internal and external communications and client care strategies. In addition, she supports talent development through coaching and mentoring of colleagues and leads an initiative to diversify our pipeline of future female talent within UK Investment.

Helen Hatt

Helen Hatt is a senior member of Aon’s International Wealth team, located in London. She leads Aon’s International Retirement Savings Plan (IRSP) services and has been integral to developing and launching Aon’s IRSP solution through United Pensions in Belgium. Helen also partners with our multinational clients to develop and deliver strong governance frameworks to manage their retirement plans globally. Helen has over 25 years’ experience and is chair of the International Operational Committee for United Pensions.

Daniel Haxby

Daniel Haxby is a senior leader in Aon’s Risk & Modelling team, with extensive experience helping clients make strategic investment decisions by analysing both short-term and long-term risks. Daniel specialises in journey planning and endgame objectives, as well as driving innovative solutions to unique client situations and new market challenges.

Colin High

Colin High is scheme actuary to seven pension schemes across varying industry sectors, providing expert strategic advice to ensure their objectives are met. Colin also leads Aon’s team addressing the non-investment issues related to climate change risk. He is at the forefront of developments in this area which are of increasing significance for many pension trustee clients.

Ross Mitchell

Ross Mitchell is a leader in Aon’s investment practice in the UK with 15 years’ experience in the pensions industry. In addition to advising a portfolio of clients on all aspects of investment strategy and management, he specialises in supporting clients on their derisking journeys and on their approach to the bulk annuity market. He was instrumental in the successful execution of the UK industry’s two largest ever bulk annuity transactions to date, both of which incorporated a number of innovative asset solutions to enable their success.

Derry Pickford

Derry Pickford is the head of Asset Allocation at Aon where he advises globally on over $4 trillion of assets. He has been at Aon for seven years and has over 24 years’ experience in financial markets. This includes eight years as the chief economist of the $18bn hedge fund manager Sloane Robinson, and over seven years in FirstRand Bank’s asset management business, where he was co-head of Asset Allocation in their fund management division.

Michael Walker

Michael Walker is a senior member of Aon’s UK Risk Settlement Group, advising clients on their de-risking strategies and executing bulk annuity transactions (buy-ins and buyouts). He has led transactions ranging in size from £2 million to over £1 billion, including some of the most complex full scheme buy-ins completed to date. He drives innovation through linking member options exercises with insurance and is a founding member of Aon’s Journey to Settlement team, guiding clients to their endgame.

Craig Watson

Craig Watson heads the major, complex and enterprise client group for the UK Investment business, managing a team of lead consultants advising on innovative investment solutions. Last year, he led the investment advice to the largest ever single risk settlement transaction in the UK market. Craig has also led the development of the UK corporate investment business since its formation. He has a wide-ranging portfolio of corporate and trustee-defined benefit pension scheme clients, as well as advising sovereign wealth.
